Champagne: shake, pop the cork, clink glasses
Champagne is made for promotions and new jobs. A dark green glass bottle stands against a deep navy backdrop, its neck wrapped in gold foil and the cork held down by a wire cage. The cream label shows the reason for the celebration at the top (Promotion, New job or Success), the recipient's name in the middle and the year underneath. As they shake their phone, the bottle trembles, the cork inches upward and foam starts to seep out. When the pressure peaks, the cork pops, the bottle tips towards them and foam sprays out. Then two champagne flutes slide in from either side, fill up and clink.

It's more personal than a congratulations in the team chat, and more fun than a plain message. Choose the reason, add both names and your note, then share the link.
What does the recipient experience?
- The opening screen says 'today we celebrate'. On an iPhone the browser asks for motion access: they can allow it with 'Celebrate with a shake' or tap 'Continue without motion'.
- A heading for the occasion, such as 'Congratulations on your promotion', appears with their name.
- 'Pop the champagne!' comes up. They shake the phone: as the meter fills, the bottle shakes, the cork rises and the text changes to 'Keep going, the fizz is rising!' and 'Almost there!'. If no motion is detected, swiping quickly left and right or holding the 'Press and hold' button does the same.
- The cork spins off towards the camera, a fanfare plays, the bottle tips forward and foam spills over, while confetti and streamers fall from above.
- The bottle steps back, two flutes glide in, fill with golden champagne and clink. 'Cheers' appears with their name, and fireworks open behind the bottle and glasses.
- Your message opens, and they can thank you with ❤️, 🥂, 🎉, 🙏 or 🥹.
What can you choose?
You choose the reason from three options: promotion, new job or success. It changes the top line of the bottle label, the headings on screen (such as 'To your new role' or 'To new beginnings') and the default message used if you leave yours empty. Their name goes on the label and the card; your name and message appear on the card.
When to send it
Use it for promotions and new jobs: a colleague moving up, a friend joining a new company, a young person landing their first job. With the 'Success' option it also fits a delivered project, a competition win or a finished certification. Shaking needs motion access, but it is optional; if they decline or open it on a computer, they can use the mouse, a finger or the hold button instead.
Common questions
Do they have to shake the phone?
No. If motion access is declined or the phone sends no motion data, swiping quickly left and right on the screen or holding the 'Press and hold' button fills the meter too. On a computer, shaking the mouse works.
What does the motion access actually see?
It only works out whether the phone is being shaken and how hard. That information is not sent anywhere or stored.
What's written on the bottle label?
The reason you chose (Promotion, New job or Success) at the top, the recipient's name in a flowing italic in the middle and the current year at the bottom.
